Hi,

Winter has truly arrived - snow in the high country and a definite chill in the air. I suppose I am noticing the weather more as I have just returned from visits to Club Med Bintan Island and Sheraton Mirage Port Douglas, both much warmer locations than Melbourne. You will be able to read more about both visits in our next newsletter.

Meeting and conference venues and hotels across the country are feeling the effects of the global financial crisis and many are offering very competitive rates and a multitude of value-adds and incentives from free conferences to cars. Making sense of what is exactly on offer can be difficult but our team are up to date not only on what's on offer but ensuring you get full value at the right meeting environment for your next business event.

We recently had the privilege of hosting a familiarisation visit to the fire ravaged Yarra Valley and met with regional venue operators directly affected by the fires. The group found the visit to be educational and came away with the desire to support the venues in the future.

For all you footy fans Go Hawks - hopefully plenty of snow on the way for the skiers.

Regards

Jim Conway
